If you’re in Santa Fe to celebrate the season, consider this site one of your quick reference points for events happening this week and next in Santa Fe. I’ll find a fun event (or two or three) and give you the lowdown on the ones I’ve attended.
One of my all-time favorites is Christmas at the Palace. This is an evening when the locals and visitors alike gather at the Palace of the Governors (a/k/a the oldest municipal building in the US) to celebrate the holidays. There’s hot cider, cookies, live music, craft-making, pinatas and, of course, Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
This is a free family-oriented event from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., and it’s tomorrow night, Friday, December 11.
Enter the Palace through the portal out front at 105 W. Palace (that’s right where the local Native Americans set up daily to sell their wares).
See you there!
