    Property Description

After a scenic drive through Santa Fe's lovely high desert and a winding drive to the top of the hill in desirable Rancho Alegre, arrive to find views in all directions. This home was custom built to capture the views and the Northern NM light. Most every room looks to the mountains, the spacious great room has a stunning view of the Ortiz Range. With two bedrooms and an office (possible 3rd bedroom) and a second living space adjoining the kitchen this home feels larger than it's square footage. An open concept kitchen has hand painted glass cabinets and space that a cook/chef will appreciate. There are plaster walls and tile floors with beautiful finishes throughout. This is an art lovers dream. The 1200 sq. ft. studio was built to get the best light possible and is a fabulous workspace, it is plumbed for kitchen and bath should one want to turn it into a guest house. The home has multiple trench doors opening to a grand courtyard with a kiva fireplace and landscaping and gardening areas all on timed drip systems. It has a security system, and water softener, there is room for RV parking, and 11 of the window are new Pellas. Horses are allowed and there are many arroyos and trails for walking, hiking, or riding just out the door. A wonderful oasis on 13+ acres, it's a must see. Lot 1 adjoining the property (12+ acres is also available)

    Neighborhood Info

    Turquoise Trail | HWY 14

Explore and then live on the Turquoise Trail, aka South Highway 14. This is the “back way” from Santa Fe to Albuquerque, and is a beautiful way to travel the less beaten path.  Most lots come with acreage of at least an acre, and many with more. The wide open spaces have less building restrictions than you’ll find in the City of Santa Fe, and horses are generally welcome.

    Santa Fe County Southwest

This rapidly growing area with plans for expansion extending into the 2050’s is largely made up of rolling hills dotted with pinon and juniper. Most of the communities located here have extraordinary views of the Jemez, the Sangres and the Sandias.
