31 Grass Mountain

This classic mid-century style cabin is located in the Santa Fe National Forest north of the town of Pecos. It is surrounded by tall pine and aspen trees on Grass Mountain overlooking Windsor Creek Canyon and the high mountains behind Santa Fe. The cabin has covered front and back porches and a large central open area with fireplace, beds on one side and a kitchen, dining area and freestanding self-lighting propane heater on the other. The cabin also includes a separate and recently updated 3/4 bath with electric heat. Water for the shower, toilet, and kitchen sink gathered from rainfall from the propanel roof, stored in a large cistern, then pressurized and heated as needed. Buyer's are required to have a face to face meeting with Forest Officials prior to a sale following successful negotiations. A new special use permit will be then issued to the new owner. This is a cool and comfortable mountain retreat with great access to the wilderness.
