Anyone who’s spent any time at all in Santa Fe’s amazing eateries knows what this is. Sorry to torture you if you’re nowhere near La Choza or Tomasita’s or The Shed or any of our other favorite restaurants. Just thought you might like to see a shot of my sopaipillas from dinner last night. . .
I started eating at Santa Fe’s La Choza long ago, when I was a poor single mom living in Albuquerque. They opened in 1983, and I’m pretty sure I was going there in 1984.
It’s Sunday morning, and if you’re like me, you wake up thinking of a great breakfast. Something with extra strong coffee with half and half and honey, hot green chile, runny eggs, maybe some beans and potatoes.
This local lettuce was so beautiful at the Santa Fe Farmer’s Market this past Tuesday that I had to buy two pounds. And it was as tasty as it was beautiful.
