Golden Dawn Gallery is the Exclusive Estate Representative for both Pablita Velarde and Helen Hardin.

The Gallery features the work of Pablita Velarde, Helen Hardin and Margarete Bagshaw. They are the only known three generational family of full-time, professional, female painters.

Artist Margarete Bagshaw has been long known for her use of color, composition and texture. This exciting Modernist has been featured in national publications and museum shows.

Margarete is a featured lecturer have spoken across the country – from the Smithsonian N.M.A.I. in Washington DC for “Women’s History Month” to San Jose State University for her new book “Teaching My Spirit To Fly”.

Painting in complex compositions that feature a dynamic color palette, her work is instantly recognizable. Her large monumental canvases honor the work of her mother and grand mother and are truly a testament to the significant place the women of her family hold in the art world – together they form the only documented full-time professional female painting dynasty ever – anywhere
