Sometimes being a blogger has it’s own perks. It keeps you on your toes. You watch for great post ideas. You take lots of pictures. You’re hyper aware of opportunities and events around you. And, of course, you get to hone your writing skills, something I need every day.
Another morning walk photo – one of the best reasons to live here is because your morning walk will be filled with glimpses of beauty around every corner.
For all of you who spend time on the Santa Fe Plaza, be it a weekend afternoon or a Thursday night watching music on the Bandstand, you know that it’s beautiful, lush, and green.
And those hanging planters filled with luscious flowers! That’s a whole other post and photo of the day. . .
I walk by IAIA’s Museum of Contemporary Native Arts almost every day. It’s just one more visual feast that Santa Fe offers. Across the street from the St. Francis Cathedral, it’s hand-painted portal posts are a favorite backdrop for engagement and wedding photographers.
I recently drove out to Rowe Mesa to check on a couple of land listings I have there. For those of you who don’t know where Rowe is, it’s about 28 miles east of Santa Fe on I-25.
Every single day in Santa Fe is beautiful. It’s just that some days are more stunning than others.
Like today. Here’s another glimpse of what I see on my morning walk. Every day.
Here’s what I see on my morning walk, when the city workers are watering the luscious flower baskets that hang from the lampposts on the Plaza and the sprinklers are running.
Wish you were here. . .
Gates. Walk around a Santa Fe neighborhood and you’ll find a wide variety of gates. Custom made metal, hand-carved wood, something someone’s Grandpa made 70 years ago.
They’re unique, pretty, funky. And I like to shoot photos of every one I see.
I travel to eastern New Mexico at least once a month to visit my parents in Logan.
